The sidebar shows your work in a three-level tree: milestones at the top, items with status underneath, subtasks when you expand. Color-coded icons tell you what's in progress, what's done, and what's blocked. No need to open GoalPath to know what's on your plate.

Progress items without switching context

Hover any item to see the next action: Start, Finish, or Deliver. One click and the status updates — both in VS Code and in GoalPath for your team. Accept or reject delivered items. Add subtasks. Open in the browser when you need the full view. Every action that matters is one click away.

Pick up what's next from Upcoming

Below your current work, the Upcoming section shows unstarted items from active milestones. When you finish something, your next task is already visible — no triage meeting needed, no tab-switching to figure out what to do next.

Flag blockers and add comments from your editor

Stuck on something? Right-click an item and flag it as Blocked, Question, or Discussion. Add a comment explaining the issue. Your team lead sees the flag in GoalPath immediately — no Slack message needed, no status meeting to wait for.

Auto-syncs with your team

The sidebar refreshes every 60 seconds and immediately when VS Code regains focus. When a teammate finishes a review, accepts your delivery, or adds a comment — you see it without hitting refresh. Subtask progress updates in real time as you check items off.

Set up in 30 seconds

Install the extension, click the GoalPath icon in the Activity Bar, paste your API key, pick a project. If your repo has a .goalpath file from the CLI or MCP server, the project is selected automatically. Every developer on the team gets the same sidebar with zero configuration.
